Feel the Teal
The Jacksonville Jaguars are having a tough season. During the span of two weeks, they appear flawless, crushing division rival Tennessee Titans one week and the next, suffered one of the most brutal losses in franchise history.
Think that inconsistency or their 2-3 record is cooling the fans? Think again.
In Jacksonville, football is way more than just a pastime. We live and breathe pigskin, and can’t wait for the start of the regular season. Whether the Jaguars are playing at home or away, Jacksonville patriots show their support by steeling themselves in front of the TV or charging to a tailgate party like no other.
When the Jaguars are playing on their home field - Jacksonville Municipal Stadium - the entire Downtown area transforms into a pregame party ground. Thousands of football fans flock to Pepsi Plaza, located just next to the stadium. The plaza becomes ground-zero for pregame festivities, featuring live entertainment, tailgating cabanas, games and kid-friendly fun like face painting.
Now, I understand such a show of support can be a little intimidating for out-of-towners. But don’t worry…our Southern hospitality makes sure you’ll feel right at home. We’d love for you to join us at the pregame festivities at Pepsi Plaza, and we promise the Jaguars won’t embarrass your team *too* much when they go head-to-head at the stadium!
In fact, visiting Jacksonville for a Jaguars game is simple and convenient. Jacksonville Municipal Stadium is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown. That means the 10-acre, state-of-the-art, riverfront Sports Complex is within walking distance of tantalizing restaurants, a diverse arts and entertainment scene and intriguing things to do. The stadium’s convenient Downtown location also means it’s easy to access all the fun and games from great hotels on the north- and southbanks of the St. Johns River.
So where will you find me this Sunday, when the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the St. Louis Rams? I’ll be where the party is! I’ll be joining a few thousand of my closest friends, screaming at the top of my lungs in support of the Jacksonville Jaguars. You’re welcome to join in on the action!
Now, repeat after me:
Let’s go, Jags!
