It's Time for Some Holiday Cheer in Jacksonville
All that being said, I've caught the holiday bug today. Downtown Jacksonville - you got me! There is this wonderful man that plays tunes to the fans stumbling to and from Jacksonville Municipal Stadium on Gameday and who, low and behold, was on the street corner Downtown belting out Christmas cheer today - the saxophone man. It actually put pep in my step and made me feel "merry and bright."
A trip to the Main Library Downtown solidified it, though. The annual Junior League Festival of Trees is already up. And if those beautifully decorated spruces don't make you feel cheerful, then it may just be time for your long winter's nap. Each tree is sponsored by a local organization or business and illustrates a book in decorations - everything from Memoirs of a Geisha to Sesame Street.
